BIG UPDATE: Our 1st Anniversary Celebration Just Got Even Better (And Spookier!)
We have some important news regarding our 1st Anniversary celebration! Due to some unforeseen "life happens" moments—including unexpected medical bills for our rescue babies and some equipment repairs we’ve decided to move our celebration to Saturday, October 17th.
We realized that since we are moving the date to October, this is the perfect opportunity to make our anniversary celebration bigger, better, and more fun than ever by turning it into a "Howl-O-Ween" event! We thought this would be a fantastic way to celebrate together it’s just one more opportunity for you to wear your favorite costume and enjoy the season with us.
We want this event to be something special, and sometimes a little extra time allows for a much better experience! We are so incredibly grateful to the Odd Fellows Lodge for their compassion and flexibility. They’ve been absolute rockstars about switching the date with us, and we are so honored to have their continued support. You’ll even get a chance to meet some of them at the event!
What to expect:
This is all about community, fun, and supporting our "Hard Case" heroes. You can look forward to:
Meet the Pups: Come say hi to some of our wonderful rescue dogs.
Silent Auction & Raffles: Great items up for grabs, with all proceeds supporting our mission.
Costume Contest: Have a costume? Grab a ticket to enter the judging!
"No Costume? No Problem!": We want everyone to join the fun, costume or not! We’ll have face and body tattoos (and potentially face painting) available for a $1 donation so every kiddo can feel part of the magic.
Food for Purchase: We’ll have food options available for you to buy and enjoy while you’re here! We are currently finalizing our food vendors, so stay tuned for updates on what’s on the menu as we get closer to the event.
Special Finds: We’ll have trainers on-site, plus vendors featuring jewelry, scents, incense, and purses. We’ll also have free gifts available with certain donations!
Dog-Friendly Fun: This is a dog-friendly event! However, for everyone’s safety, all dogs must be leashed or in a stroller—no roaming free, please. Also, please remember to bring your own poop bags, as clean-up is up to you!

Why we do what we do:
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, we specialize in high-acuity, medical-grade, and behavioral rescue. We don’t do "in and out." We take our time with our "Hard Case" heroes—whether they are with us for two months or an entire year (like our sweet Mama Luna, who we’ve cared for through her treatment and raising her puppies). Every dollar raised helps us provide that intensive care and build New Bark City’s forever home.
